Qualifications for Membership

  • You must be a man of lawful age (18+ in Manitoba).
  • You must believe in a Supreme Being.
  • You must be a man of good moral character and reputation.
  • You must be coming of your own free will and accord.

The First Step

Freemasonry does not solicit members. To join, you must express your interest to a member of the Lodge. We encourage you to visit the Masonic Memorial Temple during a social hour to meet the Brethren and ask questions.

The Petition

If you decide to proceed, you will fill out a formal petition. This requires the sponsorship of two Master Masons. Your petition is then presented to the Lodge, followed by an interview committee and a secret ballot.
